Rivals stage royal wedding parties
Rival royalists will battle it out in the street party stakes later this month in a special royal wedding edition of Come Dine With Me.
Four contestants will put on their own street parties with the help of friends and relatives and then judge their opposite numbers.
The show is part of Channel 4's coverage leading up to the big day on April 29.
Historian David Starkey will present Kate And William: Romance And The Royals in which he will look at royal weddings of the past and what this latest ceremony says about the state of the monarchy.
The channel's chief creative officer Jay Hunt said: "Channel 4 will be joining in the celebrations with its unique take on the royal wedding. From the mayhem of a Come Dine With Me street party to David Starkey's historical perspective on the marriage, we will be using documentary and comedy to offer an alternative perspective on this national event."
Members of the bride's family will feature in another documentary tracing the contrasting family fortunes of the Windsors and the Middletons.
Other shows include a comic look at the wedding and The Unofficial Royal Wedding, which will follow around a dozen people on and around the big day, looking at their reaction to the event.
Digital channel E4 is looking at what can go wrong with the 50 Worst Wedding Shockers, despite recent reports that Channel 4 had called time on list shows featuring celebrity talking heads commenting on a countdown.
